Does email marketing work?


There are many debates regarding if email marketing actually works. Well, for many businesses it works extremely well and that is why they continue to invest heavily in it as part of their online marketing. With many of us picking up emails on our mobile phones, email has become a quick way to get in touch with someone, no longer having to wait for them to log in to their account on a PC to check their emails.

To make email marketing work you need to ensure that your data is up to date and is relevant (usually past customers one potential customers are the best), your email is concise and contains information that they will want to read and that it is easy for them to interact with. You often find that more personalised emails containing the recipient’s name have a higher open rate than ones that read dear customer etc.
