Creating a marketing plan


With April fast approaching, many companies will have a new marketing budget to allocate for the coming year. Whether you are looking at undertaking most of the marketing yourself or outsourcing it all to a marketing agency, you will need to decide on a strategy and how the budget will be split between different marketing avenues.
There are so many forms of marketing, online and offline, that it can be a struggle to know what to invest where. Firstly you need to be sure of your target audience and who are the clients you will be aiming for. Once you have this information you can then establish which forms of marketing is going to capture that audience and evaluate the cost verses the return  (also known as ROI – return on investment). Sometimes with marketing it is partly trial and error and you may have to try something on a small scale initially to see if it is right for your business.
